myers briggs personality test?

Ok so i had an interview a couple days ago however, before i even got to that point i had to go in and take some tests (aptitude and a personality test). I am applying for a technical sales position (very technical as the clients I will be selling to will understand the product and have been using it for years etc.... im selling servers and back up systems for large companies). well to get on with it we were talking about my personality test and i am a entj. as we were talking about this test he asked if i had ever taken a myers briggs test before to which i responded yes in high-school (im 30 so that was like 12 years ago) and i was an INTP. he was shocked by this and told me "wow to go from a INTP to an ENTJ is a huge jump". my question is; is that a bad thing or a good thing. how does my personality type affect my ability to sale and also is that big of a change a bad thing?

little back ground on me.

i went to art school out of high school then joined the Navy as a Corpsman, served with the marines for most of that enlistment, had 3 back to back combat deployments, got out of the navy went to school, got a job in sales with a software company, and am now trying to get a job with a much better company.

I have taken lots of similar personality tests and I keep getting different results. I think that our personalities do change (based on life situations/friends and experiences) and to a certain degree we choose who we want to be and how we will act everyday, so the change in result is fine. :)

Being asked to take a "character attempt" via somebody in HR is something i might have a complete aversion to. Have they themselves taken it? of course no longer! And in the event that they did, they regarded on the solutions first.
