Who has the better outfield? Mets, Yankees, or Phillies?

Mets: Carlos Beltran, Jason Bay, Jeff Francoeur

Yankees: Nick Swisher, Curtis Granderson, Brett Gardner

Phillies: Jayson Werth, Shane Victorino, Raul Ibanez

In my biased opinion, it's the Mets. What do you think?

Update:

Machinehead, you're crazy if you think the Yankees outfield is better than the Mets. They're not even better than the Phillies.

Biased or not, you have to give it up to the Mets. Beltran, Bay and Francoeur have four gold gloves between them. That's more than both the Yankees and Phillies outfileds combined.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA....thats funny.... Bay and Francouer had their fair share of struggles at the plate last year. When you need Gary Sheffield to play a starting outfield position you know your a bad team. Hmm..Castillo is this the same guy that dropped that ball last year and the Yankees won the game? Maine and Perez, your right, might win 15 games...together. If Perez can win 15 games, then it shows how very bad the teams he pitches against are. Pelfrey dosent have a prayer, he is a horrible pitcher. Not to mention the Mets don't have a decent closer. They have no prayer of winning the pennent unless the unresonable and extreme happens. The Phillies, Braves, and Marlins are much, much better than the Mets. The Nationals...well..are the Nationals. I'd say Braves or Phillies for the NL East, and the Mets got no prayer. The Phillies have an average pitching rotation, and a strong line-up. The Braves have good pitching, and line-up that can them where they need to be. The Marlins have a little of both. The Mets have...a weakish line-up and..don't even get me started on the pitching staff. Mets fans can go around saying it was injuries last year all they want, but it was more than just injures to finish 20 or so games under .500. Matt, if you think the Mets, Braves, and Marlins are on the same level then you need to watch some NL East baseball. The Braves could have won the East last year if Lowe hadnt started to screw up, and if they had a decent closer. This year the Braves are going to show the Phillies what competion in the Division is all about. They are, at the very least, going to give the Phillies a big 'ole bite in the ***.

These are all pretty good options but I think the Phillies have the best outfield out of all because they have a great mixture of power and speed. But if I had to pick a team in the whole MLB, I would choose the Dodgers.

    Phillies:

    Jason Werth- .268 Avg., 36 HRs, 99 RBI's, 98 Runs, 20 Swipes.

    Shane Victorino- .292 Avg., 25 Steals, 102 Runs, 39 Doubles, 13 Triples.

Raul Ibanez- .272 Avg., 34 HRs, 93 RBIs and runs.

    Dodgers:

Matt Kemp- .297 Avg, 26 HRs, 101 RBIs, 97 Runs, 34 Stolen Bases.

    Andre Ethier- .272 Avg., 31 HRs, 106 RBIs, 92 Runs, 42 Doubles.

Manny Ramirez- Though he missed 1/3 of the season, he hit .290 Avg, 19 HRs, 63 RBIs, 24 Doubles, 62 Runs, 71 Walks, .418 OBP. I believe he will bounce back and be Manny like he has always been besides 2007.

Shane Victorino, Center Fielder of the Philadelphia Phillies.

  • Would have to be the Phillies since all 3 they have worked together while most of the Yanks & Met guys in the Outfield are either new or haven't worked together before & are unproven as a unit.

In my biased and unbiased opinion its the Phillies.

Edit: Now that I think about it , it has a chance to be the Mets.

Beltran is equal or better then Victorino.

    Bay is better then Ibanez.

But Jayson Werth is better then Francoeur.
