how to dress up a simple cowl neck dress?
so i've decided to wear this dress to a party my friends having (a hollywood theme, btw) but the problem is that this dress is incredibly simple. all it is is a completely plain grey-blue silk cowl neck dress. no beading, no work, no nothing. so how can i dress it up? I was going to do no necklace and huge earrings? would that work? what kind of shoes? and should i wear bracelets?
any help is appreciated.

I think your idea is good - necklaces do not sit well of cowl necks, unless you have a very long one.
The earrings are a good idea, you could go with a pair that are big and vintage-y looking to play up on the Hollywood theme. Use big bangles and a cute clutch to accessorize, and a pair of silver or grey peep toe pumps. Good luck!

Usually cowl neck dresses don't look that great with big earrings because there is so much volume from the cowl neck. Or if you want to go for that look, just go for it.
I would get one of my belts which is thick and make a "princess waist" design.
Bracelets seem to work. No necklace is good.
