Nothing like a bunch of out of touch millionaires deciding whats good for the common man, eh?

These smug bastards get government paid healthcare and $140k to do absolutely nothing for working poor or middle class America. I bet they can't even relate to someone working 2 jobs for $8/hr with no benefits trying to make it. They think someone like this can just pull a $2000 deductible from under the mattress. Such arrogance from the party of "I got mine, screw you".

Update:

renclrk, I'm talking specifically about the milloinaire congressmen. Not people that actually hire.

I think they should create one of those annoying little reality shows.. call it trading places as in the Movie with Eddie Murphy and get those out of touch millionaires and get them to try and survive for six months on minimum wage ..

hey they could even call it "TRADING PLACES SURVIVOR" .. would make a good watch don't you think....?

That's what rich millionaires do: They hold onto all tne goods and services and auction it off to the highest (and well paying) bidder.

The remaining crowd of people (the general public) gets the leavings and leftovers that don't do jack in either the short or long term.

They don't *care* if Joe Blow is making minimum-wage flipping burgers at McDonald's because his college tuition couldn't land him a high-paying job with benefits on the side.

    THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT!

What drives the majority is mere power, greed, and the acquisition of more wealth--at the expense of everyone else.

And since health care is getting more and more *expensive*, mega-companies cut back on the coverage they once so generously bestowed upon their workforce and force *them* to pick up the remaining costs.

Sad, but what can we do?

oldstyle, at the risk of rocking a sinking boat guess where the best paid jobs are?

    in the govenment sector

and just to let you know, the "so-called" millionaires actually employ people, create jobs,

and do service to the US regardless of the party in power

I have been where there. I worked 2-3 jobs to make ends meet. But I found that it is not what you make but what you spend. No its not easy, but I still do it today even though my income has drastically improved. But you are right when you say they dont care. That is the whole point of limiting the size of the federal government, not to expand its power

I think it will continue until the working class inundates them with letters phone calls and e-mails and at election if you don't vote it's the same AS voting for a con.

Oh yeah i agree, they should switch jobs with the middle class Americans for a week to see how it is. The congressmen make my blood boil they think they know what we want and they have NO CLUE

This is why we need to shrink the government.

If the government is tiny, as it has been in the past, there is less room for corruption and human error than if it was large.

    Limit the federal government to:

Upholding the Constitution, Coining and defending our borders.

Vote them all OUT! If necessary, vote third party. What happens at the polls is the only thing they understand. Hit em where it hurts. Vote them all OUT!
