Is this enough evidence evidence to suggest Mitt Romney can compete in at least some states down south?

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release...

It shows Romney winning with one third of the vote in a three way race with Huckabee and Palin in both New Mexico and Texas.

(yes, I know New Mexico isn't really part of the south, but was in the same poll)

Update:

As a Mormon, I'd like to state that my church is Christian (not that it should matter in the political world), not Satanic, and does not practice polygamy.

Update 2:

I'm not here to debate Romney Care, and I don't see why Romney Care would hurt him extra down south, and some people even like Romney Care.

Not in the Real South" he can't. Mormons are not Christians, no matter what the official name of their religion is. No way good Christian Southerners will vot for some Satanic candidate that believes in polygamy.

I used to like Romney, until I heard about RomneyCare. It's the same as Obamacare. Out of Palin and Huckabee, I go for Huckabee. He's the first to actually have the balls to instate the Fair Tax, Palin is just going to get smeared for quitting her Governor position...

I don't believe he can...once voters learn about Romneycare...which also goes under the name of Obamacare.
