Have you ever wanted to be a hippie for just one day...?

Being a 'hippie' was never about the hair, the clothes, the pot, the music or the time or place of Woodstock or the 60s. Being a 'hippie' has always been a state of mind.

There have always been 'hippies' throughout the ages. In different times and different cultures they were called by different names but it was still all about a certain state of mind.

Bohemian, beatnik, pagan, the 'Lost' generation? All hippies in their own right. Anyone who lives life by their own standards instead of the norm, anyone who dances to or creates their own music, anyone who develops their own religious beliefs, creates and lives their own unique lifestyle ---these kindred spirits are 'hippies'.

As to me, I've been a 'hippie' all my adult life, so one more day wouldn't seem any different from the others. I've never done drugs, taken acid trips, shot up or worn hippie clothes ---still, it's a state of mind.

I am an old hippie and lived it...it was a crazy time, but also it was necessary for the times, they were a changin'...some of the best music came out of the 60's and 70's...but maybe I'm just bias

Whenever i forget to shave I'm a hippy for a day...just kidding, I always shave...but I know what to say when that day comes!

actually, I'm seeking new employment to try to get away from here. well, not really, we just don't have much work these days and I'm broke. But I love working at home, all alone.

I'd be a manipulative hippie - Manson-esque. You know, just for the hell of it.

Hippies and homeless people scare me.
