Need Help Finding Best Route?

Hi everyone, I am figuring out what the best way to get from Great Falls, MT to Bizmarck, ND would be.

I plan to spend the previous day in Many Glacier in Glacier National Park, and drive to a hotel overnight in Great Falls, MT. From there, I am trying to get to Minneapolis, but figure I`ll need a overnight stop somewhere along the route.

When I type it into google maps or mapquest, it leads me along MT-200, which is a state highway. Is this a decent road to take considering it`s telling me I`ll have to drive 300 miles on it? A link showing the best route would be great!

Thanks in advance

I think I would take highway 89 east out of Great Falls heading south to I-90. From I-90 head east till you get to I-94 at Billings. And I-94 will take right to Bismarck.

That route will make the drive about 688 miles to Bismarck.

I took a second look, and it seems that Dickinson, North Dakota would be a good halfway point from Great Falls to Minneapolis. Check the above link for hotels in Dickinson. The milage is 591 from Great Falls to Dickinson and 524 from Dickinson to Minneapolis.
