Should I get a Tattoo?

Question

I have been thinking of getting a tattoo. I have always wondered why someone would want one, but I just survived a near death experience and am reexamining a lot of things. Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated. PS I have a design in mind that I have always liked, and if I got it it would be a small one on my left forearm.

Well life is short, that's true, but if you don't REALLY want one I don't suggest you get it. I've wanted all of my tattoos like crazy and I'm happy to have them now and enjoy them when I'm young. A friend once said to me you don't know how long you are going to live for so live in the moment and enjoy everything.
But don't just get a tattoo because you've just survived a near death experience. If you have always wondered why someone would want one it doesn't sound like you are the type of person who actually wants a tattoo.

If you're not 100% sure, don't do it. It'll be on you for the rest of your life, so you really do need to be in love with the idea, and the design. However, your reason for wanting one does seem grounded. Maybe think about it for a little while longer, and if you still really want to, go for it.

Depends, just remember you're going to have it with you for the rest of your life. Tattoos could even keep you from some jobs in the future... just something to think about.
