A question for conservatives: What is your opinion on alternate energy?

We all know that conservatives think global warming is a hoax. But does that affect your opinion on alternative energy sources? You can't deny that we are depleting the Earth's fossil fuels even if you don't believe in global warming. If Obama suggested spending money on wind energy or any other clean energy source, would you attack him? Even though investing in renewable energy would save our country money in the long run.

Also, where do you think all of the emissions from cars and fuel burning power plants goes? Do you think that the greenhouse gases just magically disapper and don't build up in the atmosphere? Or do you think that greenhouse gases are just a hoax too?

    All for it!!

If you'll notice, it's the people who cry the loudest, who are the ones who are wasting, polluting, using up, etc.. ! They always suggest quick fixes and never the solution!!

We need to find more "green" solutions and make them permanent! We the people, not the government!!

No, greenhouse gasses are not a hoax! They are natural and are not as bad as some want you to think!!!

Just for once, re-read your "question" (c'mon.... you aren't at all interested in a legitimate answer)

But I'll play along, because it is my fervent wish that I will someday help educate at least one Liberal.

    1) Yes, global warming is a hoax. It has been proven that nearly all the "warming" can be accounted for by other factors: manipulated data *(see Climategate and the scandal at NASA), the heat island effect of cities, and many other factors. Factor in the fact that the last three years have been so COLD they have literally erased any "global warming" from the past 100 years. This is proven.

    2) Alternate energy: fine if it would actually produce ENOUGH energy, but it will not. Alternate energy at this stage is still a joke. Even bigger is the joke when uber Libbys like the Kennedy clan object to wind power off the coast from their palatial estate. Typical limousine libbys. It's good enough for everyone else, but not for the Libby making the demand.

    3) Running out of fossil fuel? They said that in the 1970s, and we have FAR MORE proven reserves than ever before in history. Some countries such as Dubai are running out, but they are the exception. We have plenty for at least 150 years of present consumption... and that's only what we've discovered so far, or what the oil companies will admit to having discovered.

    4) Your last part of the "question" is so unintentionally funny. I have this image of the simplistic-thinking Libby, who literally believes like a 6th grader, that you simply add CO2 into the atmosphere and the temperature increases. How pathetic. Look, CO2 is a naturally occuring gas, and we add something like .3% to the mixture. A few volcanic eruptions would dwarf that amount. Consider this: you obviously believe that these "greenhouse gases" literally accumulate and stay in the atmosphere. Well, after 10 years or so of any such "accumulation".... well, I'll let you do the math.

I'm all for it, if for no other reason than being able to tell the Arabs to go to hell. I support tax breaks for individuals and companies who research/use alternative energy sources.

    BUT:

    1. They're not viable as main sources of energy right now. They're too expensive, and don't produce enough power.

    2. What REALLY pisses me off is the push to drive up the prices of conventional energy sources to push the development of alternative energy. What'd Obama say during the campaign? That he wanted to make it so expensive to run a coal plant that it would bankrupt the owners? That's just really asinine.

enable me be very clean approximately this. there is not any such element as a "neo-conservative". this could be a term coined through liberals to describe those political opportunists like Karl Rove, Lindsay Graham, Chuck Hagel, George W. Bush and others of their ilk who spend like a team of drunken eighty's era Democrats yet pay lip provider to the wanna be conservatives with the intention to get elected. What they're speaking approximately particular to that's the Bush-Rove-Hagel varieties enjoying video games with the Kennedy-Obama-Durbin varieties to play the yank human beings and then do what all of them desire to besides. believe me when I enable you comprehend this - Reagan-Goldwater-Buckley Conservatives - actual Conservatives alongside with myself are disgusted through those people who, no longer coincidentally, have taken over the Republican party. And the GOP wonders why they war to win elections. this is called a neutered loss of management and self-discipline. We actual conservatives do no longer trust liberals or neo-libs (confident, you all have them too) yet we will not sacrifice our values and comprehend for different human beings, in spite of regardless of if we trust them to win an election or manage the human beings. We welcome bipartisanship - basically no longer on the fee of integrity. Tip O' Neill and Ronald Reagan understood this and labored jointly to the betterment of the country. They have been ideoligically adversarial, yet found out and respected one yet another to the element they grew to develop into very close pals. They cared ultimately for the country and located that person-friendly floor. James Carville and Karl Rove and political terrorists like those 2 killed that spirit of usa of america - questioning approximately political capability brokering and ultimately, the whore it fairly is the almighty dollar to them.

Conservatives see alternative energy as a last resort. That is; once every dime can be made in their petroleum portfolios they'll consider alternative energy.

Because when there is an energy crisis, a real one, demand for alternative energy will soar! Think of how much your portfolio will grow then!

Who cares what happens in the meanwhile? Expect them to grow a conscience?

I once talked to an Expert in the field of Environmental affairs, he told me (1) volcano does more harm to the atmosphere than vehicles can ever do.

I tink its a great idea to use alternatives; nuclear, wind and solar. Use it NOT mandate it.

  • Murder all the liberal dumbas.ses. I'm not sure how this will affect energy, but it'll sure make the world a lot better.
