Can I make myself dream about something?

First, if I think about something really hard or something, can I make myself dream about it? And second, I'm writing a book and all my ideas for my books come from dreams, what can I do to make myself dream about my book so I can get more ideas? Is that possible?

I have a book called "Creative Dreaming: Plan and control your dreams for a more sensuous, more creative and anxiety-free life" by Patricia Garfield.

I'm pretty sure it was a book that someone gave to me, and it's pretty old...

    from 1978, haha.

bu anyways, it didn't exactly help me "Control" my dreams but i deffinitely could affect what i dreamt about, and just reading it was interesting and fun.

I'm sure that there are many other books about stuff like that. try going to your local bookstore and check the spirituality section.

If you focus on a particular thought as you fall asleep you have a better chance of dreaming about it. I don't think trying to make yourself dream about your book is gonna work out too good but you can give it a shot.

i have tried to do that before at one point. i once wrote on a piece of paper folded it up and forgot about it. i had written the name of the person that i liked and that night i dreamt about him. i have tried it a few times and it at times it didn't seem to have any affect. i guess you can't ever really MAKE yourself dream about anything in particular.

but that doesn't mean that you can try!
