Are you a linear or lateral thinker?
Linear is straight line thinking, lateral is broad thinking.
Linear starts at the problem and works its way to the cause, lateral figures out what could be the cause and goes there.
Linear is organized, lateral is unorganized.

I'd have to say, linear. Lateral in execution sometimes I'm sure, have to reach out to pull things into focus, but I head straight into the heart of things. Right to point; the reason or purpose that it's running through my thoughts.
+ I think of inertia when I think of this. My mind wants to continue going instead of being forced to go around a circle.

It depends on the situation, but I think I am more of a lateral thinker when the situation/problem is not familiar to me, or the outcome from a general solution isn't good enough - I try to look for other options that can work even better.

Could you explain what the definition of linear and lateral is in a "thinker" concept. I would appreciate if you would. I'm quite interested in this topic. Thank youuu :)

i am a linear thinker i have always been one, but since i discovered this i've tried to become a lateral thinker.. because if you keep doing what u have always have done you will always receive what you've always received.. we need to expand our knowledge lateraly like the fibbonaci's spiral we need to expand our ways of thinking, we need to be different instead of living in a narrow-minded linear way.. this is why i every strive to become a lateral thinker and also to expand my borders, to think outside the box.. :D

Eh...? Perhaps you should define those terms. If I were to guess, I'd say I was a quadratic thinker. Linear functions are pretty boring...

I am not sure what you mean by those terms but I would have to say both, a good thinker is all around.

I don't know exactly what you mean by this question, but I tend to continually offshoot into related thoughts rather than thinking about a single subject.
