Why do all these vampires fall for teenagers?

LOL that's so true, I never even thought about it before. The only thing I can think of is their age when they became a vampire. If they were turned as a teenager, then maybe they'd relate more to a teenager.

But I do think you're right though. They've been alive for over a century so they should have matured by now lol

Sookie Stackhouse is 25 years old in the first book. Not so much a teenager.

And in these vampire books the girls have something the vampires want. Like Sookie she reads minds and has fairy blood and the vapires in the series love fairy blood. And Bella has blood that supposidly is great and she can block things out of her mind. And in the Vampire diaries she looks like a woman that change the boys.

Most books which aren't aimed at adults have a plotline which depends largely on the adults staying out of the way so the kids or teens can drive the plot. How well they work, for me, depends on the plausibility of the adults staying out of the way.

Vampires never age. It would sound funny if you had one that looks 17 falling in love with someone that looks 50 wouldn't it? If the author wants to sell books, the best way is capture the interest of teenage girls.

because they taste the best? if you were a vampire, would you want some greece old man, no youd want a young hot stud. same with guys with girls. its just like what attracts them so obviously fat people have it set agaisnt vamps. If i was a vamp id deffantly be going for people my age teenager isntead of some 40 year old. just the thought of it makes me kinda sick. gross. to old

Good point, but it's just fictional, if you really want an answer to this question you should ask the authors of these stories. And they are books written for teens, so maybe that's why?

thats like what i thought, its like, dudes uve heaps old nd u fall in love with someone not even a quater of ur age, i mean pedo much, but its also they fall in love with them to. i thought it was creepy. but thats just me, and what u and i are thinking is probably heasp different, but the same in a way no wat i mean?

i think it may be liike, they are heaps old and want someone young to be like wow ur so young and helpless and im so old and..old.. and immortal and old :)

cuz an adult woman would stake their @$$. no way anybody not under the delusional effects of teen hormones would fall for all that bad-boy, neck-biting, i-vant-to-drink-your-blood crap.

Yes you're being too cynical. For one, those are YOUNG ADULT books. We don't wanna read about vampires falling in love with grannies. And its fiction.

That's 'cos the point of all these books is to make money, nothing more.
