Does the government produce anything?

It doesn't produce anything.

It does, however, provide you with services in exchange for taxes, such as schools, police, national security, courts, etc...

Absolutely nothing. What are they good for? They are only here to serve and protect. I believe if we want to see where this government is going, all we need to do is look at history.

Argentina had a terrific start in the early 1900's with agriculture and the beginning of an industrial revolution, then the progressives moved in. Look at how they are doing today, as well as Greece, the UK and France among others who use the progressive model. This is happening to us also if you look back into history.

It is a sickness that erodes all the good in a government and country.

The govt is a taker not a giver...they produce feces of debt--that is all. They cannot even make the Post Office work--and it is a pretty mandatory coup of business for them..imagine them involved in more than they already are. They cannot manage Medicare--or the IRS--(who cannot collect more than 400 million in taxes from last yr) or the post office.

The ONLY THING the feds are good for--is letting our Generals run the Armed Forces--obama knows nothing of war strategy or guns or fighting for one's country...

The govt is like a big fat man who east and eats and eats gorging himself on others food and stealing others ability to have food....like big Pac Man! F-k the govt! Vote out all the mooches in Congress in November 2010!!

I don't know, I've always felt that the government is extremely adept at producing waste. No one else even comes close, Congress is the market leader by a long shot.

I hate to think what America would look like without Government. Wait. It wouldn't exist! I guess Government produces America.

They are too busy financing war and getting the country even further into debt to worry about "We the People". Sad, VERY sad, but seemingly true.

Of course not.

We can expect the state to provide for the needs of the people only if we're literally insane or retarded.

Aggravation.

They are big on producing graft and corruption. All one has to do is look at congress and the White House.

If it goes unchecked (like it has for a few generations) it produces tyranny.
