I have a Rossi model M58 .38SPL. Can this revolver handle the +P ammo?

Well the link jon gave you is not the same model.

And some have found despite the claim Rossi has about how their revolvers can handle +P loads, that they cant handle a steady diet of them.

So I would avoid +P ammo in that revolver unless it’s just loaded for protection and use non +P to practice with.

Depending on which model some have lossened up with just 60 rounds of +P.

Yes WC is right. The link jon gave you shows a revolver for +P ammo, it has +P in its description. Even so if you shoot nothing but +P in that +P model it will get loose after a few thousand rounds.

And your model was not made for +P.

    According to Rossi's website:

"Rossi revolvers are machined from forged steel and will routinely fire powerful .38 Special +P rounds for the lifetime of your revolver."

Edit: sorry, the one on Rossi's site must be a newer model. Both are called the M58.

If it is not roll marked +P on the barrell, do not use +P ammo. Pretty simple.

Guns that will take .38 spl. +P will be marked so on the barrel.
