I was 17 when I got pregnant for my daughter. Now she is 17. The other day I was driving down the road thinking about a situation that had come up with her and what I was going to say...and then this thought came to my head...When did I become this person? I am having all these "mom" thoughts. I barley even remember life without her.

I believe she saved my life. I was not headed in a good direction and I had no intentions of going in a different one. She forced me too! Things were different, I had a life in my hands that I was responsible for.

She has become a very good and responsible person. I am so proud of her.

Yes, I got pregnant at 18, in the last couple months of high school. I decided to keep my baby despite my boyfriend leaving me and running away like a coward.

My experience so far has been just fine if not pleasant (baby is almost 3months). My pregnancy/labor/delivery was very easy, probably because I'm very physically active and fit.

I am the oldest of 5 kids, the youngest being 4, so I knew what to expect when it came to being a mom. It is a challenge, but it is also rewarding.

  • I found out I was pregnant about 11 weeks after my 15 birthday and gave birth about 3 weeks before my 16th! I was absolutley petrified at the thought of being a mum so young but I new from day one that I would never abort my baby!!

At first I found it difficult to bond with her because people were interfering and doing things which I should have been doing, like feeding her, dressing her, changing her nappys. But after I told mum and the other people that she was my daughter and I needed to care for her they backed off!

Now our bond is unbreakable and I love her all the world and back and would never change her for the world!!

I expected mother hood to be much worse, people were telling me that I would be up every couple of hours through the night, that I wouldn't get a minute to myself through the day, but that was rubbish :)

My daughter never woke up once through the night! Not even the day she was born! She has slept all the way through all the time! In the first 3 weeks of her life I got myself worried because she didn't wake up for a feed through the night and kept asking why she wasn't but I got used to it and she's fine :) and as for not having a minute through the day, this wasn't true either, when she was tiny she slept most of the day and now she's older and is awake all day, she just plays with her toys, she very rarely is any trouble and is ever so placid :)

Sorry for the life story lol :) x

I got pregnant with my daughter at 17 and had her at 18! It was a challenge and it was scary! I am the oldest of 4 girls, so being a mom wasn't hard, I was a natural! However having my own baby, being 18, working full, trying to get through school and doing it all on my own.. yea it was hard! I kept my head up and just made it through! My daughter was such a good baby! she slept through the night like 2 weeks after being born! she was only fussy when she was hungry! after she turned one is when I met my fiance and he was great with her! Im now 22 and pregnant with my second! I think im more scared of having the second then i was with my first! Im not sure why! we will be okay and make it through rough times, but the thought of having 1 baby depend on you the thought of 2 babies who depend on you is really scary! I would not change having my daughter! she has made me a strong person, and i honestly don't know where i would be without her!!

Yes. It was very challenging because I was nowhere near ready to be a mom. I didn't even think about what it would be like. I just ended up a mom and I just had to go with the flow. It has been a series of hits and misses, but life is like that in general whether you're a teen mom or adult mom, planned pregnancy or surprise, married or single, whatever.
