Who do you trust to tell you the truth about the costs of RomneyCare?
Do you trust most politicians from Massachusetts from both sides parties like Republicans Scott Brown and Mitt Romney and Democrats such as John Kerry and Ted Kennedy?
Do you trust Massachusetts Taxpayer Foundation which says"the cost to taxpayers of achieving near universal coverage has been relatively modest and well within initial projections of how much the state would have to spend to implement reform, in part because many of the newly insured have enrolled in employer-sponsored plans at no public expense."?
Or do you trust the far right?
It doesn't race taxes, and it's only about 1.5% of the Massachusetts budget.
It has slowed down the raise in cost in Massachusetts, not sped up (unless you're calling the Massachusetts Taxpayer Foundation a lier). Health Care was already really expensive in Massachusetts, it has nothing to do with Romney Care.
Romney Care was focused on insuring people, not lowering costs.

Willard Romney of course.
"We're spending a billion dollars giving health care to people who don't have insurance," Romney says. "And my question was: Could we take that billion dollars and help the poor purchase insurance? Let them pay what they can afford. We'll subsidize what they can't."
In promoting the plan, Romney brushes off those in his party who attacked the plan as just another big-government scheme. He emphasized that those who can afford insurance should get it.

I don't trust any politician. Especially from Massachusetts. They're corrupt and most run unopposed allowing them to get even more greedy and corrupt. As for Romney Care, it's all about coverage but not costs. Medical costs are flying high still. All the reform did was to get people covered. Medicaid and Medicare are still problems. So, whatever politician tells you that everything is fine with health care, ignore them. It's no different. The funny thing is there is a loophole to the coverage. You don't have to have insurance if your income is below poverty level. You get exempt from the penalty. So, the uninsured poor still gets free medical aid.
