My cat just ate a fly?
Will it be okay? It was really weird because it ate it and then I heard it buzzing and it flew out of my cats mouth but then my cat ate it again!?!?!?! Is it okay for cats to eat flies??

Cats eat some pretty strange things! I've had cats that eat flies, spiders, moths... if it crawls or flies, they will chase it and eat it! Yes, and EVEN mice and birds!
Generally speaking, I tend to avert my eyes when these things happen. But I have never known one of them to become sick because of it.

Your cat should be fine. My cats have also eaten a few flies before and nothing bad happened. Cats get excited because of the flies since they move around like a toy so then cats try to catch them and eat them. I think its alright as long as the cat isn't eating a ton of flies every single day.

Your cat will be ok. Nothing bad will happen to your cat. Actually cats are fascinated with eating or chasing flies
Theres a lot of flies in my house during the summer, I have 5 cats and they each ate a fly and nothing bad happened to them.
One time one of my cats name Jennette ate a spider and nothing bad happened to her.
Its perfectly ok for cats to eat flies

Your cat is eating the fly on purpose! Not cos it's tasty but cos flies and insects contain keratin. This is a protein which we humans eat in jelly etc as it's good for our hair and nails. Cats eat keratin to improve their claws and whiskers. This is absolutely true!!! Also, do you know that if your cat eats small furry things (mice etc) the fur helps them to get rid of worms, as the fur is passed out the worms come with it. (Gross I know...) :-)

Cats have the nature to eat bugs so the fly would not hurt the little angel at all

Perfectly natural. Won't hurt them a bit. Its a big plus too, because it can help rid your house of flies when any get in.

It's perfectly normal, they love flies and especially love crickets...as long as they don't eat any obviously dangerous insects they are fine

Cats are top predators not only because of their skills but because they eat such a wide variety of things. Insects are no exception.
