I like this guy, he told me he likes me but...?
Well we have pretty long conversations over MSN (busy lives, we're meeting up next week) and stuff, but he said he liked me...over MSN. Out of the blue. And said 'bye' straight after. And then talks to me again like normal (which isn't like normal talking, it's things no one else would understand anyway) the next day, and the next. He hasn't mentioned it since, but he's been pretty nice to me even so. Mean anything to you?

Well, just be cautious until you meet up with him and see how he acts. You never know it could be a prank by a sibling or friend. If he acts more flirtatious than normal when you see him than you will know the answer. If he acts like nothing was ever said, then for safety and precaution I would ignore it for now.

It's hard to feel someone out over IM. Liking could mean "I like you as a friend", or " I like you but won't commit to you." It's really hard to have a real relationship if you have not been in the same room.
