Question dealing with photography and taking pictures at the arena...?

I'm not sure if I've ever asked this question before...

But I'm a photography student and would like to take pictures of the Pens while they practice.

Does anybody here know exactly who I would need to talk to to try and make this happen?

It's just to build my portfolio, i'm not going to be selling the pictures or anything.

I would contact The Southpointe IceoPlex at 724-745-6666. Introduce yourself and tell them that you're a photography student who is looking to build her portfolio by taking pictures of the Penguins. Ask her if there is anyone there you can speak with to discuss the details. If the person does not know anyone ask them if there is a number you can call for information or anyone they might know who you could talk to regarding the issue. Security is an issue with these things so don't be surprised if you're met with a little reluctance while talking on the phone. After all nobody wants to be the one responsible for "letting the wrong ones in" and having something bad happen while the guys practice.

The best thing to do is to write to the team and ask them in a letter... I think you will definitely get a response (but probably you'll get a no). Some teams in the NHL do have some practices open to the public. You can go to the team's website to see if the Pens do (know though that those practices are often not mandatory for the entire team). The problem here though is timing and late in the season teams tend to close practices.

If you can go to a open practice they might allow photography... usually they have some promotional people at those events and you can ask them.

You should probably ask the coach or manager for permission, when & where they practice.

You should get some wicked pictures!

eye for a watch.....do what she is doing to you. possibly she receives the point and observe how she likes it. even get your pals to fulfill up and bully her. possibly she receives the hint then
