I FOUND A CURE FOR KERATOSIS PILARIS!
Hi had KP for over thirty years, since I was a teenager, i'm now 43. Tried everything and nothing worked. As it is genetic my mother has it and so do my brother and one of my sons.
About four years ago STOPPED DRINKING COWS MILK, as one of my sons was allergic to it and he and I started drinking goats and rice milk. Within two weeks my KP had completely disappeared. I couldn't believe it I had completely smooth, baby soft skin on my upper arms, upper back, face, thighs and buttocks. I have had no KP for four years, except when I went back onto cows milk for a few weeks. It started to come back, so I switched back to non-dairy alternatives and it has gone away again completely.
Please tell everyone to try this. 40% of the population have Keratosis Pilaris and there is no known cure. This worked, so maybe it is all down to cows milk!

I can feel your pain. I have it on my upper arms and my cheeks. I always thought it was because I had really pale skin until I finally went to my doctor about it. So far I haven't heard anything about a cure but there are treatments. Avoid taking long hot showers. The heat can dry your skin out and make the condition worse. Instead take brief, luke-warm showers. Talk to your Dermatologist about any creams that may help.

I have it too, and I know how embarrassing it is. When I mentioned it to my doctor, she recommended Amlactin lotion. It used to be prescription, but it's OTC now. It's around $15, and I've had a bit of success with it. The only annoying thing is that it must be applied twice a day. (Obviously it starts to become somewhat of a cost.) Another thing I heard about was to exfoliate really well in the shower with a loofah. It helps to tease the hair out without actually scratching it out. And remember to MOISTURIZE. It's the key, really. Good luck!
