Who decided that having body hair is a sin?

I had to lol at the first answer ... it's actually the total opposite. It's usually men who proclaim how disgusting and ungodly it is for a woman to have a hair anywhere on her body other than her head and eyebrows. The belief that women should have no body hair is rooted in patriarchy and the media and entertainment industry's desire to prop up women as sex objects. It should be noted that most of the people who control that industry are middle aged western men.

As for hair on men, I see men with hair on their body all the time, so at least where I live, it's still perfectly fine for men, but not for women.

Despite that, there are lot's of people who do prefer to shave all of their body hair off because it's their own personal preference and that's perfectly fine and acceptable, but I think it should be perfectly fine if someone doesn't want to either.

It depends on how much it is and where it is. I don't bother with the hair on my arms because it's very fine and unnoticeable, but on other areas I remove hair from, I do it mainly because of itching and because I cant stand the appearance of body hair there, not because of the media's influence.

The Porn industry dictates a lot more than you would originally think.

It is one of the few industries unaffected by the recession, it is the Porn industry that are responsible for us using VHS instead of Betamacs and Blu-Ray instead of HD-DVD.

So it is easy to see that the Porn industry will effect things such as our tastes towards body hair and the bigger breast thing that has cropped in in the past 20 years.

The media. They have so much influence over industrialized countries that it's scary. They could declare global thermonuclear war if they wanted to.

Some people just get rid of it simply because they don't like it. I'm one of those people. I don't do it because I feel compelled to by men or the media. I personally don't like it on myself. Sometimes I slide and don't worry about it for a few days, but eventually, it gets on my nerves and I just get rid of it.

Hot women did. And men listened because they like having sex with hot women.

Body hair is gross. Everyone should be hairless from the neck down
