Why are my games/application only in the centre of my screen when full-screened?
My OS is windows 7 wide-screen lappy. Every time i run a full screen program/game, it only appears on the centre of my screen, with leaving the 2 sides black. I see no effect if i change my lappy's screen resolution. I'm a first time notebook user. But i've used normal lappy and other desktops before. Any suggestions on what i can do to change this situation? Some games however widens up when i change the resolution from the game itself.
Its a new windows 7... Surely the drivers and video cards are new. Some applications does not have resolution selections.

Probably you are running games on a crt monitor resolution which is in ratio of 4:3. But LCD's work with ratio of 16:9. Update your Video Card and try change the game resolution and check LCD settings.

i've got had the comparable subject working homestead windows Vista. i do no longer understand a thank you to regulate the component ratio with the intention to acquire finished exhibit streams. the only element that I did, replace into connect my pc by a HDMI cabled to my television. i understand that isn't the answer you're finding for, yet yeah, that replace into the only way which i replace into waiting to acquire an entire exhibit circulate of something from my pc. except of course I particularly have some thing no longer set extraordinary with my homestead windows Media center. as far as Sav pronounced, now and lower back adjusting the television's component ratio worked, yet in maximum circumstances it does not, as i might have a black container around the easily displayed video; no count which component ratio i might use for the television's settings.
