Is it possible to reanimate a cow's heart? Seriously, Science project.?
I've heard of the rumor that if you hook up a battery "12 volt" to a cow's heart you can make it pump by the voltage. But I believe you would need AC to do this not DC. So maybe battery if you kept poking the heart every second, but anyways. Is this possible? I want to do this for a science project rather than just do a heart dissection.

This sounds like a Slipknot stage set. OK immerse ur heart in normal saline.. recommend fairly low frequency ac ..around 2-3 Hz (diff muscle fibres pump Na/K ions at diff rates)..sufficient voltage to produce current of up to 100mA (higher causes burning /muscle protein denaturation). This will at best make the cowheart twitch spasmodically..like fibrillation..doubt if u cud get it to actually pump fluid/blud.

as you said, rumour.
You also are right in theory about ac, but it would work in practice. it would need to be pulsed dc to work, so connecting it direct to a battery again, shows its not based on fact, that and the fact the heart is dead

shouldnt need only AC as the direct current should do the same, you can do it with a car battery too just make sure the electrodes dont touch
