yankees: whos more excited for 2011 than this year?
I hate granderson, I'm pissed neither Matsui or Damon came back. So I'm just bitter over 2010, which means I'm more excited for 2011 which looks great for the Yankees and Red Sox rivalry. Also for other teams! Tons of huge free agents. But I'm just looking for the yankees 2011 additions, cuz I could careless for 2010, it's not the awesome 09 team.
I'm thinking Adam Dunn, who truthfully I'd love to see hit in Yankee stadium, he walks alot and hits home runs. The cons strikeouts, no speed. But he'd look good hitting behind A-Rod.
Then with the Rays budget cuts, I say Crawford is gonna be either the new leadoff or #2 hitter. Yanks are suffering in the speed dept. Yes they have granderson, but he dosent steal often, isn't smart on the basepaths, and truly is not super speedy. So the yanks would benefit from Crawford, especially if they add Dunn. Pitching is pretty much set. I don't see Cliff Lee or Beckett coming.
I'd say
1. LHP Sabathia
2. RHP Burnett
3. LHP Pettitte (just one more year)
4. RHP Vazquez (again)
5. RHP Hughes ( Joba to the bullpen!)

The accountants for the ballplayers. They are excited in handling all those millions of dollars and collecting fees for managing it.

2010 is going to be a good year for the Yankees. And Granderson is probably better than either Damon or Matsui at this point. He plays better defense, and I'm not sure that Matsui and Damon can replicate their 2009 seasons. The Yankees have a deep rotation, a lot of innings worth. That shouldn't be a problem. I don't know what the odds are, but the Yankees have got to be the World Series favorites. If my team was looking as good as the Yankees are, I'd be pretty darn excited.

First off, the BOSOX would be WAY over the limit as well so you have no clue.
as for the poster, Damon and Matsui were both OLD. Damon didn't have an arm when he was young let alone now that he's eligible for AARP, and Matsui is injury plagued and again, OLD.
Look up what a 5 tool player means and then realize Granderson was the acquisition of the year. Only regret is that we didn't keep Ching Ming Wang as when he's finally healthy he's got nasty stuff

Im a Yankee fan and i get what your saying but I still cant wait to see the Yankees after a long off season filled with the Giants sucking and the Rangers sucking and tigers issues. its been a hard few months for the sports fan part of me but the Yankees are just around the corner so i have something to look forward to.
Yankees have a good rotation and bull penn this year. that will be fun to watch. and im looking foward to seeing A-Rod. maybe now that he was been to the top he can play with out all the presher and be as good as he is when he is playing at his best
