Is UF or KU's linguistics department better?

UF is better known for science and technical programs, whereas KU is better in liberal arts. That said, UF has a much better academic reputation overall, so their linguistics departments are probably on par.

Both schools are good at sports, obviously Florida is amazing in football, and Kansas in basketball, but both have good turnouts for both sports. Gainesville and Lawrence are also both decent college towns, both centered around the university.
