ignition problem in my prelude?

the ignition in my 1994 honda prelude sticks... it sometimes takes like ten mins of me jiggling the key and the steeringwheel at the same time to get the key to turn over. How can i fix this?

get a new key made. Sounds too easy but its usually the answer if your key looks "brass" instead of silver.

Any honda dealer will be able to make a new key for you (don't go to Home Depot or any other place that tries to duplicate the key from your existing one). Bring your car's registration with you and ask them to cut a new key for you. they can look up the original key code on their computer to make the key from..It should cost less than $10.

in 99% of the cases that solves the problem. If it doesn't then you'll need a new key cylider but that is a very remote possibility as the key wears instead of the tumblers inside of the cylinder (Unless the cylinder has been damaged)

    hope that helps
