Why don't only democrats participate in this Health Care Plan?

If Republicans don't use it, and aren't subsidized by it, and pick up the tab for anyone uninsured who gets treated in an ER, or or the tab for all those treated by someone who infects everyone else because they don't get health care, fair enough.

Oh yeah, you guys can pick up the credit card bill and ongoing expenses for Iraq, Afghanistan and for our bloated defense budget, which is more than the rest of the world's, combined.

Sounds like Republicans have a much bigger tab to pick up.

This bill is a windfall for the insurance companies. There is no government option. The mandate requiring people to buy insurance helps insurance companies. Their stock prices have risen already. Federal laws have to be applied to every person living in this country. If I had a say, I would deny Republicans Medicare and Social Security since they despise that. We all have to participate and pay for things we dont like because we all are part of a society. The insurance exchange that you will buy into has to have enough people in the pool it to make it cost-effective because the rates are set by private insurance. The government can only give a subsidy to lower income people to help them buy it.

So only Democrats should be allowed access to health care, according to that logic. According to the connies, the Government now owns all of health care. Good Idea. Your taxes will still fund the program, fewer people on the program will generate more coverage.

Why does it matter, when BOTH political parties have been taken over by the same force?

That's stupid. We didn't only tax the conservative to pay for the subsidies to Big Oil. We all had to pay for the Iraq War. Conservatives will take advantage of health care reforms; they can help pay for them, too.

This Libertarian is fine with it, too! Take some deep breaths and try not to be so easily frightened by the phony conservatives scare tactics.

They need the republicans to pay for it - top percentage of wage earners pay over 90% of taxes collected.

I pay 12 times the taxes my neighbor pays.
