Is this dress okay for prom? Its short?

Well I really like this dress: http://www.debshops.com/product/index.jsp?productI... but people have been saying that prom dresses should be long.... To some extent I agree, but I really don't even know. I'm a sophomore and my boyfriend is a junior.

    its fine ur still a sophmore u cud wear a long dress for the next 2 yrs of h.s, its really nice just find a cute hair piece maybefrom forever21
