Is there a way to keep my allergies from acting up?
Pollen is killing me nowadays. Is there any tasks that I can do to prevent my allergies from acting up. Any Natural Remedies?
I also take Claritin-D (12-hour/Non drowsy)
-It works well but I still sneeze, get itchy throats and a slightly runny nose at times.

If you know for sure it is pollen allergy, then you need to be using those allergen control strategies.
If you are in the US, Pollen.Com just became your new best buddy. You need to keep an eye on your pollen forecasts. When pollen counts are going to be high, you need to manage your time to minimize the time you spend outside and maximize the time you spend inside. Also, when inside, make sure all the doors and windows are closed. Keep pets inside also when pollen counts are high. If you send them out, they will just bring the pollen in on their fur. If you must be outside while pollen counts are high, when you come in quickly take a shower, wash your hair, and change your clothes. Otherwise you are just spreading pollen all over your home where it will make you miserable later. If you must be outside, wear something like a Q-Mask so you won't breathe those little buggers! Start using nasal irrigation on a regular basis. You can use something like a sinu-pulse or a net pot. There are special window screens you can use to keep the pollen from coming inside if your windows must be opened. I'll load you up on links to read...in the meantime, start checking pollen.com to get those forecasts!

if there was a way to get rid of the runny nose or sinus we would all be taking it. But for everyone is different in reactions from allergies. I've tried many years to prevent them as well as get rid of them.
It is a day by day thing to keep clean and try listerine or salt water mouth washes, eye drops and even claritin D but nothing so far has helped me either.
I have had prescription medications that didn't really take care of it either. We have to learn to live with the allergies.
Maybe it helps to change the over the counter types of allergy medication. Sometimes I've noticed that it works for a while. Then take a different brand another week just to find relief.
