Does anyone think that Doctor Phil is a tyrant and a bully?
I'm just watching his show and wondering why this interfering conservative bully has his own show and so much power?
he's really irritating me!!
Steven Colbert and Jon Stewart are what give me any kind of respect for Americans.
I watched Steven Colbert v. Bill O'Reilly recently....those two gives me hope for America!!

I don't watch Doctor Phil so I never noticed that. I'm not saying your wrong though, I'm just saying I was unaware of that. As for The Colbert Report and the Daily Show (Steven Colbert and Jon Stewart's show in case anyone doesn't know), I think they are the two best shows on Comedy Central.

I actually like him, I can't say I'd want to be on the receiving end of one of his lectures, but a lot of those people have problems that might need a little toughness. But it is a talk show and there are much worse ones which I don't watch.
What I don't understand, and his is one of the few talk shows I watch (Oprah once in a while, and a little of Ellen, totally different kind of talk show, sometimes) but I wonder whose idea it is for these feuding families to go on there. 2 Sisters don't speak, or a husband and wife can't stand each other, or mother and daughter, but yet they agree to go on national TV and air their grievances. I've even thought I saw a the same person on different segments,
I don't remember what segments, but for example say there is a story about a shopaholic wife who spends thousand of dollars a week on junk, then 3 weeks there is a story of a philandering husband and the wife or girlfriend looks like the same person who was in the other show. It is no doubt coincidence and they look alike, and like I say, I can't point out specific shows, but it sometimes seems that way.
I'd say putting Dr. Phil and Steven Colbert in the same category is way off, I don't think they have much in common when it comes to their shows or acts (and Dr. Phil is an act, there is little doubt about that)

No, he's tough cuz he needs to be. He has to get in to people's minds and help them. Otherwise, he's really outgoing on the show and can seem like a real help if you know someone going through the same situation,

No, he just tells it like it is. You know to get viewers. That came from when he used to be on Oprah all the time. You remember, Tell it like it is Phil.

He is a bully, but you can beat him up. Change channels or turn the set off. You have the ultimate power. He got popular because Oprah liked him.
Did you know he's lost his license to practice psychology in all 50 states for unethical practices?

That's the way he comes off....BUT the idiots he is working with came to him for advice....they need to be bullied they evidently don't get it...so they need someone to play hard ball....he is only doing it for there own good.

he never allows his guests to finish a sentence.
he always wants to trump every answer someone gives him.
he never believes people who say they will try to change (whats the point of your effin show)
the only reason he has anything is because of Oprah - I hope he has a shrine of her or something
