There is quite a bit that you could need. But I wouldn't buy it all now. Start off slow. You still have at least another 20 weeks to buy.
Diapering and Clothing
-Either about 8 packages of disposable diapers or a full supply of cloth diapers
-Ultra sensitive wipes
-Diaper Bag - if using one. A backpack works really well as well
-Diaper rash ointment
-Changing table
-Portable changing pads are great to have
-6-8 lightweight gowns/kimonos/newborn sleeper outfits for each baby with pull-ties are not only comfortable for the baby, but they make changing diapers a lot easier than outfits with a lot of buttons and/or snaps that can be very time-consuming
-Burp cloths
-6-8 receiving blankets/swaddling blankets for holding the babies, swaddling, changing, bonding and playing with the baby. Be sure to include a few more receiving blankets with your baby registry, as these will need to be washed often. A baby sling/wrap is also an excellent choice for newborns; both you and your babies will love the shared closeness. Might wanna invest in one for dad too.
-6 pairs of socks and/or booties, 2 hats and 2 sweaters each to keep the babies comfortable and warm, whether at home sleeping/playing, during a family outing or visiting grandparents.
-5-10 newborn sized outfits for each baby
-4 pairs of mittens (for preventing scratches)
-And any accessories - such as shoes, hair decor, jewelry
-Also find a mild laundry detergent, harsher ones can irritate babies skin
Bathing
-Baby Tub
-8-10 baby wash cloths
-4 hooded towels
-baby lotion - one of my favorites is Johnson and Johnson bedtime lotion.
-baby brush
-infant nail clippers
-baby shampoo - Again Johnson and Johnson all in one baby wash is great
Nursery Items
-Crib, Crib Mattress. Some mother sleep their twins together. Others don't make the choice
-If desired a bassinet, or co sleeper for those long nights.
-3 fitted sheets
-baby monitor
-dresser
-baby size hangers
-rocking chair
-cd player with soothing cd
-night light
- nursery decor - wall hangings, window coverings, bed skirt
Feeding
Breastfeeding Needs:
-3-5 nursing bras
- nursing pads - washable or disposable
-breast pump
-nipple cream
-breast milk storage containers
-breast feeding pillow
-nursing cover
-10 burp rags
Bottle Feeding Needs:
-bottles (BPA free) - start with just a few until you know what your baby will prefer
-nipples (clear silicone)
-formula - don't stock up until you know it will "agree" with your baby
-10 burp rags
-bottle brush
-bottle warmer
-drying rack
-sterilization bags
Traveling
-2 car seats
-2replacement car seat cover
-Either a twin stroller or two strollers
-blankets of varying thicknesses
-car seat travel bag for air travel
-portable crib
Health
-nasal aspirator/bulb syringe
-petroleum jelly
-digital thermometer
-rubbing alcohol & q-tips (for umbilical cord care)
-infant acetaminophen - use with newborns only under advisement of your pediatrician
-saline nasal spray
-a great pediatrician
-Don't forget to add your baby to your health insurance policy
Development and Entertainment
-baby mobile or a plastic mirror for the crib
-a few toys of differing textures
-baby swing and/or baby bouncer
-baby book for recording all of the milestone

love this website for loads of info all things baby.
would not necessarily buy a whole lot at this point as ppl will give you a lot of stuff - would maybe get a few things here & there just for the fun of it though. onesies, some diapers, basic stuff. would also spend a lot of time researching carseats and decide which ones you want - those can get pretty expensive. graco snugride is a great carrier, but its not the only one out there and there are several good ones. also can start looking at convertible carseats for when they outgrow the infant seat (some can be used from birth though it depends on baby's weight) - i like the graco myride65 since it can be RF to 40lbs, as opposed to a bunch of others that are only 35lbs, but its not the only one with a 40lb RF limit.
also pick out which stroller you like, whether you want a swing, bouncy seat, etc.
would also put together a baby registry so ppl have an idea of what to get you.
other stuff to research - breastfeeding, vaccinations, natural child birth options, cloth diapers if that interests you, etc. msg me if you have any questions!

Most important to come home you need a car seat. Some where to sleep, either cribs or bassinet, my baby is going into a crib right away. Diapers and wipes obviously. Lotion, baby powder, baby shampoo, diaper rash cream. Diaper bag. For me a few must haves were a bouncy seat, swing and pack and play (we have family out of town that we are going to visit so the pack and play will be where he sleeps). Lots of onesies, make sure you buy nb and 0-3 month. Obviously outfits. Socks/booties, mittens and hats. Bottles, pump if you choose. First aid kit, just in case. Nail clippers, hair brush, thermometer, suction bulb thing (idk the real name can't think of it lol). Mild laundry soap to wash clothes. For me a must was also a changing table, although some people just use the bed. Can't think of many other things....

Its hard to say what you need....babies actually need very little compared to what we buy them but some stuff I found useful or that you really do need are:
Something for them to sleep in (crib, bassinet, pack n play)
car seats
stroller
diaper bag of some sort
swing or bouncy seat or play mat....something to keep them occupied or to put them in when you are dealing with one
boppy pillow (great if you are nursing or for tummy time)
bottles if you plan to do any bottle feeding
diapers and wipes
lots of onsies and sleepers
few little outfits
baby monitor
baby bath if you want one
storage (dont know if you want a dresser or if you have one or some storage bins or closet organizers)
some kind of toys to keep them entertained...my daughter loves books, her light up Fisher Price sea horse and now that shes 5 months she loves rattles and anything that makes noise or plays music
towels (whether you want baby ones or just adult ones)
blankets (warm and receiving)
bibs (get ones with sleeves for when they are eating solids...my daughter destroys her clothes with just a small bib)
feeding chair (but not until they are older though if you see a good deal scoop them up)

Here's what you, in 2010, will likely need:
cribs
car seats
neck pillows (for the first few weeks, at least, while in the car)
for bottle feeding: bottles, extra nipples, brushes, Munchkin bottle racks, microwave sterilizer
for breastfeeding: good-quality pump, bottles/nipples (optional backup), nursing pads (for mommy, not babies lol), good-sized baby blanket for privacy/travel
diapers
wipes
diaper rash cream
rubbing alcohold (for cord care)
baby q-tips (ears and cord care, they have them at Walmart)
baby wash (recommend Johnson's Head to Toe)
baby shampoo (optional if you get Johnson's Head to Toe Baby Wash--it smells AWESOME!!)
baby oil
baby lotion
[there is a gift bath-tote you can get from Johnson's that has 6 of the above items already in it, Walmart, it's about 20 bucks, and a little bath toy for them too]
baby brush (assuming hair is present)
mini-emergency kit--will include digital thermometere, nail clippers, scissors, medicine dropper, and medicine spoon (Luvs has a cute little blue one, there are all kinds available)
bibs/burp cloths
baby washcloths (get a big pack, you will need all of them lol)
hooded baby towels
infant bath tub (safety 1st has awesome choices)
receiving blankets and at least a few warmer blankets, depending on where you live
baby hats
baby socks
onesies
t-shirts
sleepers
baby gowns (recommend these for newborns, they are simply easier than everything else; and cuter too haha)
mattress pads for cribs (you WILL need these)
crib sets with bumpers (bumpers not for everyone, but i like them because my kids squirmed around early and didn't want them to hit their heads on crib bars)
some sort of crib entertainment--mobile, rainforest soother (like this because it can play quietly with lights or without for about 20 minutes- my son loves it), aquarium soother, or not according to preference
NASAL ASPIRATORS, otherwise known as bulb suckers. Have several on hand at all times, and in diaper bags because you never know when it will save your child's life!!!
diaper bag(s)
playpens (there are some models with bassinet and changing table attachments--worth every penny, and they have wheels on one side too for easy movement)*
bouncers
swings (the kind that you can put the whole carseat in is great if you have a fussy baby--and you always know they're secure because you buckle them in like for a car trip! I had a Graco model, and it was a lifesaver)
stroller/carseat toys: they attach to these and jingle, or vibrate, or are just plain cute, and babies love them on the go!
linkadoos (at Walmart, again, and trust me--you will need these as they get older!!)
strollers/ double stroller
baby carriers (there are slings, front carriers, back carriers, all kinds; just make sure you try it out because it should be comfortable for babies AND you!)
Ok, this is my list of immediate baby needs, and should cover about the first 3 months... then when they get older and more curious, toys toys toys! They don't have to be expensive, but there are all kinds of options to expand their little minds!
I'm assuming this is your first child(ren)? Best of luck to you!
*Note: The changing table and bassinet attachments for playpens should be used with care. Never leave an infant unsupervised, and discontinue use of above attachments when your child is old enough to turn over/sit up--they can fall and be seriously injured.*

Congrats!! Twins!!! You're definitely going to be busy!
-Bodysuits(long sleeve and short sleeve)
-Snap front shirts(use these when the babies still have their umbilical stump..much more comfortable)
-Sleepers(lots!!)
-Burp clothes
-Bibs
-Blankets(thin for swaddling and thick for cuddling)
-Pacifier
-Hats
-Socks
-Diapers(stock up...you go through a ton, especially if you're breast feeding)
-Wipes(You go through even more of these than diapers..so get twice as many)
-Boppy pillow/feeding pillow
-Bouncy chair(get one that vibrates and plays music...a lifesaver!!)
-Swing
*Don't forget a breast pump!* You get what you pay for so it is worth buying an expensive one...seriously!!!
-breast cream
-breast pads(lots!!)
-freezer bags for milk
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and make sure to do things for yourself before the babies come. There is so little time when those precious little ones come! But they are so worth it!! =-)

Try maxi dresses with the relative side slits those will look great on you! No matter whether you have long legs or not simply strut that skirt
- ?Lv 44 years ago
I think that skirts tend to either look kind of cheap or trashy if they are tight and short, or they are just the run of the mill jean skirts that are not necessarily sexy.
