why are a lot of people against the health care reform?

I've been trying to figure out why there are so many people against the health care reform and I don't understand the negativity, this reform makes sense and I find it to be a POSITIVE thing that is finally being done.

So why so many haters?

Most of the world isn't, just a few third world countries.

They are being told that government taking over from insurance is 'control'. As a none american I can see that insurance death panels are the ones who control. they control who sees a doctor, Government wouldnt as they wouldnt say you have pre-existing conditions, and stop you from receiving the medical aid you paid for or point blankly refused to insure you for that reason. It seems to me half of america wouldnt know a good thing if it bit them in the a$$.

and when i say 3rd world I do class the USA, as a 3rd world nation when it comes to health.

I'm not against health care reform. I'm against the way this one was shoved through Congress. Absolutely no bi-partisan support. All Democrats. They wouldn't even work with the more conservative members of their own party, thus why 34 of them voted no. Don't %$#&^%^* tell me that the Democrats for one second welcomed any input from the Republicans. They didn't. Not at all. They kept Republicans out of meetings, they talked big like they were being so magnanimous and the truth is, they wanted what they wanted and the rest be damned. They could have done this right and compromised and found common ground rather than using their majority to push through a bill that 50% of Americans disagree with. They're just drunk on their own power.

It's about WORKING TOGETHER. That's what November is going to bring. They won't have such a wide majority then and will be forced to compromise.

It is not health reform itself that many people in the US are against...but this particular bill. I am against this bill because it does nothing to address the ever-increasing costs of health care. I am for certain aspects of the bill that include the prevention of insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions. Am against the mandate for all people to purchase insurance (because this creates a financial windfall for the insurance companies).

I really wish there were cost control measures in this bill, but there are none.

It isn't about health care, it isn't about reform. It is about the government taking more control of our lives.

It is about no longer being able to make a choice in our lives. It is about taking from those who have planned and laid out their lives to achieve a dream for themselves and their families suddenly being forced to subsidize those who haven't.

It is about forced charity. It is about a new welfare state. It is about uncontrolled spending of our money.

Helping the downtrodden is not the issue here, Americans have always risen to that occasion for any and every nation on this earth. It is about losing our freedom inch by inch.

people don't like this bill because it is crap- It isn't health reform. it doesn't solve many of the problems and it adds more financial burden to the middle class.
