How do you calculate the exact day of conception?

It's a little tricky, actually. Let's say you ovulate on the 15th of every month. Your egg is only viable for about 24 hours after you ovulate, so by the 17th you would no longer be fertile. So, conception, must occur on the day you ovulate or very shortly after. However, sperm can live inside you for 5 days, so intercourse does not have to happen on the exact day of ovulation but as many as 5 days before it, and you could still get pregnant. Therefore, the intercourse which causes conception should ideally occur after your period stops and before you ovulate.

That being said, even women with very regular periods do not always ovulate at the same time every month, so any time you have unprotected sex, even if you are on your period, there is a chance you could get pregnant.

Here's the deal, A normal luteal phase (time between ovulation and your period) is 10-16 days, meaning if you have a 28 day cycle you could ovulate anywhere from Cycle Day 12-CD 18.

28 (days in a cyle) - 10 (days of luteal phase) = 18

28 (days in a cyle) - 16 (days of luteal phase) = 12

Ovulating on day 14 is only AVERAGE.

no... i dont know how to explane it! but i can tell you when u got preg if you add your due date or i can tel you that pregnancy is 282 days long so if you were due on 16th of april you would have goten preg on the 10th of july hope that helps
