What does it mean, exactly, to believe in all paths to God?

I heard someone use this phrase and I'm not sure exactly what it means.

And please keep all the atheist/christian fighting elsewhere, thanks :)

    It is false teaching.

The Bible is clear, Jesus is the only Way to God and that means there is no other way to God.

Any God will do is a LIE that rejects Christ Jesus as the only way to have peace with God.

    OR

    Jesus Christ is a madman

    OR

He is God and HE has created everything like He says He did.

    “Mere Christianity”,

    C. S. Lewis makes the following observation:

"A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.

He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell.

    You must take your choice.

Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a mad man or something worse.

You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God.

But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher.

He has not left that open to us."

In other words, either He was the most sane person who ever lived and walked the face of this planet,

    Or

he was absolutely out of his mind with his claims.

But, since "actions speak louder than words", you need to look at what he did.

    He healed the sick,

    made the blind to see,

    the lame to walk,

    the deaf to hear,

    and the dumb to talk.

    He healed lepers,

    forgave sins,

    and even raised the dead.

    When he commanded the storm to stop, it obeyed;

and when he commanded demons to leave, they obeyed his authority and left individuals alone

    whom they had been tormenting.

An insane person could never manage these things.

All these things He did in 3 years.

Left-handed all human beings is interior the MINORITY... like me. i think it ability do no longer stick to the gang It ties in with what Jesus mentioned decrease than: (Matthew 7:13-14) “bypass in during the narrow gate; with the aid of fact vast and spacious is the line maximum advantageous off into destruction, and a excellent kind of comprise those stepping into via it; 14 while narrow is the gate and cramped the line maximum advantageous off into life, and few are those finding it. i'm hoping that facilitates. ==== After interpreting another solutions, i should be incorrect. i think we want context. First off, all paths to God refers to how all the religions differ in their belief of how to get to God or heaven. Christian's belief to get to God is different from another religion. So when someone says they believe in all paths to God, they mean that they don't believe there is only one way to God. There can be many ways.

all paths or roads do not lead to God.

    some are following satan

    some idolize sports figures

    some crave and worship money.

I follow Jehovah God Soverign of the Universe. I am confident I am on the narrow path leading to life.

I think it simply means that, it doesn't matter how you get to God, just so long as you DO. Maybe, that all religion's, even if they preach differently, all mainly want you to follow the path to some God. I do know that that is a nice phrase. :)

    Jesus said

    John 14:6

6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

    Act 4:12

then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

    11He is

" 'the stone you builders rejected,

    which has become the capstone.

12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

It means there are many different paths to God. Hinduism, Buddhism, spiritualism, Christianity, Islam. Every soul is at a different level of spiritualism, each soul chooses the path that will lead him/her to the path of enlightenment. With each life we live we choose a different path to bring us closer to God/ZEUS/Jupiter/Allah/Jesus/Jehovah. It can be a very long and windy road to the top. Very different paths all lead back to the Godhead. Hope this helps.

  • Did you see it in the USA commercial?? The one where they say "I'm a character" and this lady with a British accent says, "I believe in all paths to God". I watch way too much television.

"And I will bring the blind by a way [that] they knew not; I will lead them in paths [that] they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them." (Isaiah 42:16) Beloved, excellent question! Love - D
