xbox 360 unreadable disc problem ? ?

I believe there are 2 solutions for this problem.

1. Your laser eye that reads the disc has some dust on it which is restricting its ability to read the disc in that certain area. Open the 360 (CAUTION THIS VOIDS THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY) and clean off the laser eye and see if that fixes the problem.

2. Download MW2 to the HDD drive and try playing the game. This works because the info for the game will be on the console and the console will only need the disc to access the info that is on the hard drive of your 360. One problem though, if that error message comes up (i.e. the disc is unreadable) then borrow a friends game, install it to your hard drive and then use your disc as the "key" to access the MW2 info on the HDD.

This happend to me too. I had the same problem so I searched all over the internet and I couldn't find anything. I finally ended up calling microsoft and they told me that I would have to send it in and get it fixed unless I found someway to do it myself (which I didn't). I didn't want to pay $100 to get it fixed...so I bought a PS3 instead. It was well worth the money seeing as it came with a Blu-Ray player, DVD player, and free online play. Also if you're playing MW2, people don't hack and cheat as much.

Dude quite you should basically scrap your xbox because it is a right now ahead situation alongside with RROD, E74, and scratching video games. in the present day the guaranty purely covers RROD and E74 as M$ believes the different "are not unavoidably their fault". if maximum of your friends have 360s then move ahead and purchase a sparkling one its more less costly now, if not dude PS3 ftw.

When that happens I just restart it.

If it happens often, I just use the towel trick, and it pretty much fixes it.

I'm kinda lazy to exchange, but I'll probably end up doing it eventually.
