SFO -United Airlines Check-In Location?

I will be flying in 3 weeks from SFO to Dublin, Ireland on United Airlines with a layover in Chicago. At SFO, United has two check in desks (one in the domestic terminal and a 2nd in the International terminal). Since my final destination is International, do I check in at the International terminal? Or, since my first stop is still in the U.S., do I check in at the Domestic terminal?

Update:

**I should have mentioned, I am only flying United as far as Chicago. In Chicago I connect to an Aer Lingus plane to continue to Dublin.

Update 2:

**The Aer Lingus flight is a United code-share flight.

I've flown on connecting international flights from SFO that had a layover in the US and always had to check in at the domestic terminal. The United Airline's website states that you check in at the International Terminal only for flights that are non-stop to international destinations. Your initial flight to Chicago is a domestic flight. I'm almost certain that you will need to check in at Terminal 3, but you probably should call United to be sure. Terminal 3 is right next to the International Terminal if you do need to go from one to the other.

No offense to the previous answer, but you do not clear immigration when departing the US to international destinations.

I think you will be using the domestic terminal check in because you are going on a flight to chicago. Its still a domestic flight, so you use the domestic terminal. I am looking at United's flight status to Chicago O'Hare right now and it is listing Terminal 3 as the departure terminal for all of them. Even if i change the final destination to Dublin Ireland, it still lists Terminal 3 as your departure terminal for the first section of your trip.

You will be checking-In in international and you will go through the immigration as well.

Don't mind the Chicago because that is your stop over only.

You might change aircraft when you get to Chicago and don't worry about your baggage for it will be deliver to your next flight to Dublin.

Call United Airlines for more information.
