Why I am not able to update AVG antivirus 7.5 ?

I agree that AVG (cough-cough) probably won't update because it no longer supports Win98; and that you will have a hard time finding one that will.

HOWEVER, the ClamWin Antivirus will run on Win98.

Only problem is that it is an on-demand* antivirus only (no *real-time* protection), so you will have to manually update and scan with it.

Hey dude upgrade your operating system to either vista or Xp .

Windows 98 is too old now , and many antivirus companies have stopped making antivirus for this operating system .

Ask a friend who has an installation disc of xp or vista to re-install it for you , or you can try a free operating system like Ubuntu 9.10 .

You won't need an antivirus for Ubuntu .

you can order a disc of Ubuntu for free .

Unfortunately, AVG no longer supports Windows 98SE.

It's time for a new computer as you will continue to run into this problem with more of your programs.
