Why do guys use offensive pick up lines?
For example today I was getting into my car and my neighbor's friend thought I would respond positively to "Hi, sexy". I know that isn't too offensive but I definitely probably will not talk to him now. Why do guys think stuff like that will work?

Some guys use inappropriate pick-up lines because they feel it might work even though it probably won't work. Other guys use inappropriate pick-up lines because they are amused by the woman's reaction. And some guys just use them to cheaply boost their own confidence.
