2001 BONNEVILLE replacement shocks?

Anyone ever replaced the rear shocks on a Bonneville? Do you need any special tools? or is just a easy replacement? I know that they are air shocks & the lines will have to come off

you don,t really need the air shocks. you can do away with the air shocks, the lines and the compressor and just use gas shocks. no special tools. just the ordinary sockets and a ratchet and maybe a wrench. you can get a good set of monroe shocks at a reasonable price.
