how to print large single letters?

I am a computer and word processing dunce but would like to print some large single letters .Lower case and the largest single letter you can fit on an A4 piece of paper. I have increased the font size to its maximum allowed but this only gives me a letter about 2cm tall I need them 20cm tall at least .Is there a way of typing a single letter on a page and then increasing the size of that letter to fill the entire A4 piece of paper.

There are 72 points per inch, so a 72 point type will be 1" tall. For 10" you would need 720 points. Few programs can manage more than 500 points. I don't know what the limit in Writer is, but you will soon find out. Good luck.

To do this. It can be done in office Word, Wordpad, oppen office i dont know what you have but instead off

selecting 72 from the drop down menu just click on the font box and type in the number 576 = 8"=20cm (72 font =1"= 2.54 cm roughly) or what ever size your looking for just do the math

You can go above this in word, simply type in a higher number into the font size box.

Don't believe that the largest font size shown in the list box is the largest possible. Try typing something bigger in and see if it works.

    Hope that helps.

Change the font, size or color before you print. Those options are in the File/Text menu of your word processor.

I think in word you can only go as big as 72. But i have seen it done so there is a way but maybe they use a different program.
