Everyone thinks my baby will skip crawling....?

My baby is 7 months. He does not like being on his tummy. He grabs my hands to stand up.

My aunt said that it could be possible for him to skip crawling cuz thats what her son did. (her son is 19 months)

My son gets PISSSSSSSED when he is on his tummy, he starts crying and gets so mad.

All he wants to do is stand up. I put him in the walker and he walks everywhere.

Do you think he will skip crawling?

is it bad??

Some babies do skip crawling and go straight to walking which is why they don't consider crawling a stage anymore. It's not bad for them to go straight to walking without crawling. However, my son hated being on his stomach also and always wanted to stand up but he's still crawling at 9 months. Every child is different.

My daughter hated tummy time too! He might skip crawling, but my daughter didn't crawl until she was 10 1/2 months. Then didn't walk until a few weeks ago at 16 1/2 months. It's not bad at all! At least your son is interested in walking, maybe he will be an early walker. My daughter loved the Bumbo but really didn't have the urge to get around until she was older.

No it is perfectly fine and normal. There are some babies who just dont want to learn how to crawl and they will completely skip it and go straight to walking..Every baby is different and they learn things at different times.. Some learn faster than others. But dont worry about your baby not being able to crawl or want to learn. My nephew is 9 months and he still doesnt crawl and he wants to learn how to walk already instead of crawling..

He might skip crawling. He might not. Either way it is fine. Most children like to crawl first but some children like to walk as their first way into mobility. My first child skipped crawling. She was walking at 9 months. And her doctor was completely fine with that.

I would still do some tummy time with him everyday. But if he likes his walker and likes practicing standing up then let him. I am sure all will work out fine.

Its actually quite common for a baby to skip crawling all together, and thats fine and normal.

my son wouldnt stand tummy time either, and every thought my son would skip crawling to as he was 6months old and already walking while holding onto furniture, but one day randomly at 7months he started to crawl.

My baby did the same thing and I was so frustrated when everyone was rushing my baby to crawl. She would just lay their and try to swim, but no knee action....she would pull up on everything and stand up for seconds at a time unassisted, but at 10 months now she isnt walking but she is a speed crawler! She can go from the kitchen to the bedroom in no time! Its the cutest thing. Give your baby time, they will get there!

It just depends, all babies are different. My husband was the same way, according to his mom, and he was walking at 8.5 months and never crawled. He just wanted to GO GO GO all the time. (And he still hasn't stopped 23 years later!) It won't hurt if he walks first. Just make sure he gets lots of practice with balance so he doesn't hurt himself trying to go go go too much!

No its not bad its not like hell never walk. My mom owns a day care and theres this little girl i think shes 10 months. shes not crawling at all but that doesnt mean she wont ever. Maybe your son is lazy? haha i dont know. My cousin didnt speak a word until he was 4. seriously nothing. All babies are different just like all pregnancies are diffferent
