Getting pregnant after a tubal pregnancy?

I had a tubal pregnancy that ruptured at 8weeks on 10/01/09...I had surgery that removed pretty much my entire left tube...my doctors say that I have only started ovulating again since christmas...i am not pregnant again yet...I was wondering if any other women have been through this and if you have how long did it take for you to get pregnant again? Any tips?

Thanks for the help...

Update:

a friend is in your situation. they tried for a year and a half after the ectopic pregnancy and recently went to see a fertility doctor. he said that that in a given year each ovary will ovulate six times but they don't necessarily take turns. you might have three or four months where you ovulate on the tubeless side. they are doing further testing but the final result they were told would most likely be hormone injections to increase the eggs ovulated so they have a better chance of getting pregnant. good luck to you

hello, i just wanted to say i am thinking of you as i have been through the same thing. i had an extopic pregnancy at 10 weeks my right tube was removed. since then i have been taking clomiphene and ovidrel, but no luck for us yet. i guess each situation is different. i also have PCOS and a lazy left ovary. we are hoping to be put on the waiting list for ivf in may. there is always hope, don't give up no matter how hard things get. i will keep my fingers crossed for both of us :o)
