These are not common side effects of this drug-it would behoove you to check with your doctor that it's not something else causing this.
I'm curious as to why you aren't using albuterol-used appropriately it has less risk of serious side effects and even the minor ones usually subside with regular use. If the doctor says something like it can cause a fast heart rate, and you have not tried it, I would ask to try it in a monitored environment, e.g. take a couple of puffs, wait 15 minutes and have the RN recheck your heart rate. This side effect is actually quite rare and I should know-I've administered albuterol to literally thousands of people. If you can use it, You ought to be able to quit the ipratropium entirely. If it has been prescribed in addition to albuterol, I would tell my doctor, stop using it and see if symptoms subside. If albuterol alone was ineffective for you there are numerous other types of bronchodilators you might try-without more details I can't make any recommendations.

Have a look at the site below, the side effects that you are feeling are all stated here.
Drink plenty of filtered water. Try taking 4oz of red potato juice a day, this is known to help with breathing and lung problems.Spicy foods also help with opening up air passages. Selenium also helps with people with asthma - brazil nuts are highest source of selenium (3oz a day). Onions also help.
