Facebook page.. and message?

Question

Someone made this fan page on facebook called "I hate when I go to a party and someone is wearing the same turban as me" and then there was a picture of all these people wearing a white turban. I really don't know what culture that relates to but hindus are what popped in my head right away. A few of my friends and I have inside jokes about hindus. Were not racist, they just deal with a couple people at school. But to get to the point, the fan page was obviously a joke and I wrote on the fan wall saying "it's even worse when someone has the same dot as me or their wearing the same outfit as me." Once again, it was a complete JOKE! And when I logged onto my facebook this morning some girl I don't even know must have gotten offended. She messaged me. The subject was "hi stupid biittchh" and the message said that she wanted to meet me in person so she could beat me up. And she said that she would turn my red dot into blood. She even posted her phone number because she wants me to call her so we could meet. && last but not least, she said how ugly I was.

Ahahaha. Well first of all, I don't have a red dot because I'm not a hindu, therefore she can't "turn it to blood". Second of all, why would she give her phone number out to a stranger? Now I could do whatever I want with that number. Third of all, nothing she said offended me and even after reading the message I still had a smile on my face :D

But anyway I have 2 questions..
1. Should I reply? I was just gonna ignore it because I don't want anything to start. I'm not telling anyone in my family about this because all their gonna say is that I shouldn't have posted what I did on the wall.. which I guess is true.
2. How do you change your facebook settings so that only friends can send you messages? I keep getting messages from random people that I don't know like about their bands and crap. And I want it to stop.

BQ: What would you do with her number?

If your just gonna say I'm stupid for posting what I did on the wall, don't answer. It's not gonna help me in any way. It's over and done with.. and it was a joke.

Shouldn't this girl be yelling at the creator of the page? I got the same group invite to ( Mind you i live in staten island, Ny And This page is Everywhere & us two are not the only one Having our inside jokes!) .

To answer You're first question, Honestly It's up to you But whatever you do Don't dig yourself into anything. This girl seems like either She's a pedophile Or has a really bad temper and thought it was offensive, And shes immature for wanting to fight a stranger OR just creepy .. if you want respond with That you're sorry and didn't think about how offensive it would be to others in the religion etc .
2. OH i had the same problem, Go to settings ( top bar all the way to the right and scroll over the last button and go to settings then messages and their is an option for who can send you messages.

BQ: i would ignore it OR privately call it and see who picks up .

Facebook trolls... It's not something new... Try to explain to her that the message was just a joke and that you didn't mean to offend anyone. Don't do anything with her number. It might be a random number and you might get into even more trouble. Try to write the message so that you will sound calm, and not aggressive. Also, about the "you're-ugly" tell her that she haven't even met you.

About how to change the facebook settings. In the upper right spot of the page, it says "account". Click on the arrow to see the options. Then privacy settings. From there, it will open a list. In the end, it will say "send me a message". Next to it, click the options and change it to what you think is the best for you.

You can block that girl if you want. Just keep in mind that she's just stupid. :)

This is what bugs me so much about society today. People say "I'm not racist, I just tell racist jokes". Well last time I checked, getting a cheap laugh about the color of someones skin is racism. You need to seriously think about what you did, and stop being like that. You probably see the neo Nazi's and say "Wow how can they be so horrible"? Well anytime you make a joke like that, it is putting your race above another, which is exactly what the Nazi's do.

Anyways I still want to help. I would message her and apologize. Tell her you took the joke too far and that you hope she was not too offended. You have to realize it is hard for people to read stuff like that about their race and stay calm. Now, for blocking that. There are privacy settings. Just dabble with those.

Best thingto do is ignore it andgo onto that page and apologize about what u said. That's really bad and wasn't really a joke after that but neither the ppl who made the page good either u should delete that page fromur profile or ur friends and all ur contacts will see it and then think differently of u

First of all I want to tell you that that was stupid. Racists joke are so the 1950s . Nonetheless you should go to settings and set your facebook profile so that only friends can write you a mail. I hope you've learnt from that experience.

Ignore it, delete it. Don't do anything with the number, not prank call or anything because you could get in trouble for that.

If you click on account in the corner, then privacy settings and you can choose who see's what and who can send you messages e.t.c
I'd reply with something like: its a joke - get over it because if she doesn't know where you live then she can't exactly do anything.

i'd get someone to prank call her - but you know i can be kinda mean when people annoy me but you know - your choice   xx (:
