Temperature anomaly in Europe +5 to over +7 C in last week of March. Is it due to global cooling?

    Shhh! Don't post things like this now. It's spring. The AGW deniers are going into aestivation now. They won't emerge until it gets cold again.

    No, it's not global cooling or global warming. The USA and Europe had a relatively cold January–February, now at least Europe is having a relatively hot late March. Both are just examples of local weather.

    Against the backdrop of the fact that Europe's largest country, Russia, which is bigger area-wise than the rest of Europe combined, is emerging from its coldest Winter in 30 years, I'd say this definitely qualifies for the "just weather" category.

    no, it's because it was march. ocean and wind currents mean that the temperature in Europe is naturally unstable at this time of year. Some years there is thick snow, other years it's nice and sunny. It's because this is the period between summer and winter so the natural rhythms of nature haven't stabilized yet.

    Actually, Meilin is right to say that in the UK early spring can be very warm or very cold.

    But a very cold winter and spring as we are having as part of a longer term trend is certainly counter to theories of AGW
