Should Scott Roeder get the "hard fifty"?

    He stalked the man, murdered him in church, was prepared to shoot other churchgoers and yes, I think he needs to be put away.

    What happens if the next guy wants women in burkahs and takes to shooting women in shorts?

    He has, after all, a religious belief that is against women showing their bodies.

    You can't hide behind what you think God is telling you do to. God may be talking to someone else in a totally different way.

    The whole idea that Roeder is somehow above the law because he killed someone who was engaged in a legal practice he judged to be worthy of the death penalty is not the way it works in a secular country.

    And in a religious one, well lets just say no one ever called Roeder a priest.

    BTW he got the Max, he was sentenced yesterday

    That's fine with me. I see his murder really upset you more than any other murder in the USA because you're so absolutely passionate about killing babies. I'll be you a million dollars you don't go around advocating strong sentences for child killers.

    Yes, it was a cold-blooded pre-meditated murder, and committed in church to boot.
