volunteering in Indian Reservations?

Is it possible to become a summer volunteer in an American Indian Reservation? I'm Italian and I would love to do that because of the thesis I'm writing down... I want to base it on American Indians (Anthropology), but I need to do direct research and spend some time with them!

Has any of you done this before? suggestions? Is there some Indian who can help?

I will be thankful.

Well I guess it depends which Native American Reservation .

Like which tribe are you wanting to volunteer with ?

I'm not too sure but I think You would be able to

volunteer on a Native American reservation .

If you do I'd guess you would want to check in with the

Tribe's local government . I believe it was called that .

Sorry if I'm not much of a help but I still hope I helped you

    in some way .

Hi. I live in Rapid City South Dakota, not far from the reservation It is a very sad place, they do without a lot there. There are no opportunities for work or education and they have their own tribal laws and regulations which does not allow outside forces to come in and do anything for the betterment of the community. What you have seen or heard about life on "The Rez..." its probably pretty close to the truth...
