"If i have 2 motor insurance policies on two seperate vehicles, do i have to let the other insurance company know if i make a claim against one of the policies, and if so will it affect my no claims and premiums of both policies. As i will be asked when renewing if i have made any claims in the last 5 years?''

It wont hurt to tell them that way you are covering your own back.

If you have your no claims bonus protected you wont loose anything.

Normally you wouldve had to tell them that you use another car and that you have another policy anyways.

It does not matter if you own 10 cars and 10 policies. If you had an accident, then you must report it. The renewal will then ask if you were at fault or not for this accident. The fact that the accident happened with another vehicle on a different policy only affects that you did not file a claim on this policy. They may still consider your no claims with them, but most likely may increase your premium when it renews. Just like, many times they will check your drivers license record to see if you have had any tickets since you renewed.

But if you lie and then later submit a claim, they could void your policy for "misrepresenting" the facts on your renewal.

    good luck
