Is there any use in creating a Deviant Art page?

I'm working on establishing myself as an artist and as a part of that I'm trying to get my work more 'out there' online... I was wondering if there is much point in setting up a deviant art page to display my work? I've quite often browsed other peoples pages, and enjoy looking at other people's work but would there be much point in establishing my own?

I've got my own website www.kylaart.com but I'd also like to make images of my work more accessible. Any ideas or advice you have would be great!

Any exposure for your work is a good thing. Deviant Art is a well-respected and long-established venue for emerging independent artists, especially those specializing in the expressive or mystical style.

For more corporate or professional maximum exposure, I highly recommend Flickr. Accounts are free, and even the professional upgrade is affordable. Other venues include Picasa, Photobucket, NetDiver, CommArts and a host of design community and image sharing sites.

Yes. There are a lot of users on DevaintArt, some of whom have their own websites. Of those people, most of them provide links either with the image or on their profile to their site.

DeviantArt is great for that kind of thing! There is also the Thumbshare forum where you can post your work to other users, but if I were you, that's as far as I'd utilize the forums, as the admins of DeviantArt are quite snotty and impolite.
