At what age should a child in preschool have homework?

    They shouldn't have homework. They should learn what they need to learn at school, and leave the home time for eating, bathing, and spending time with family. :)

    A child in preschool shouldn't have any kind of homework. Usually homework is started around first grade. Although I think it's important to sit down and go over what your child did that day, regardless of a homework assignment.

    Preschoolers shouldn't have homework. Homework typically starts in kindergarten or first grade and studies show that too much homework is very detrimental.

    Sometimes schools will send home little things to do with parents, but formal homework is too much.

    It's a good habit for kids to develop. The earlier they start doing homework, the less of an adjustment it will be later in life.
